L.A. County Board of Education v.p. Sophia WaugH visits SEA

Soledad Enrichment Action Charter School had the opportunity to spend the morning with L.A. Co. Board of Education Member & VP Sophia Waugh and Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) and Coordinator-in-Charge of Charter Schools, Anne M. Supple. “That’s talent,” Sophia Waugh reported while visiting SEA North Hills. Anne Supple and Sophia Waugh toured the campus where they observed students working together on their projects. Ms. Waugh and Ms. Supple interacted with students and made comments on the positive activities and relationships at the site. They took time to view students’ presentation of the “60’s” which was heartfelt by all. Ms. Waugh was impressed with how the program reflected on the multiple skills and tools used by the students to produce such a project. SEA North Hills teachers Mr. Santoyo and Mr. Lomanaco shared their experiences at the site and explained the message of the vision and mission of SEA.
