Sacramento Trip

On Monday, March 27, thirty-six students and twenty-six parents and volunteers, and staff members boarded a bus for a three-day trip to Sacramento and San Francisco.  In Sacramento, the group met with the leadership of both houses of the California State Legislature including Senator Jack Scott, Chair of the Senate Education Committee and Senate Budget Sub-Committee on Education.  Students toured the State Capitol building, visited Old Town Sacramento and enjoyed a lunch sponsored Speaker of the Assembly Fabian Nunez. In San Francisco, they toured the PAC Bell Stadium, had lunch which was sponsored by USI Northern California and Nelson De Basa, and afterwards, visited Fishermen’s Wharf before returning home.
